Custom & Bespoke Work

Do you offer custom jewelry design?
Yes. BNL specializes in custom and bespoke fine jewelry, including heirloom redesigns and one-of-a-kind pieces created in close collaboration with each client.

Can you work with my own diamonds or gemstones?
Absolutely. Family diamonds and sentimental stones are welcome and often central to custom projects. Betsy will assess your stones and guide you on design options that best suit them.

What is the timeline for a custom project?
Most custom projects are completed within 8–12 weeks, depending on design complexity, stone sourcing, and production schedules. Timelines may vary slightly for heirloom redesigns or rare gemstones.

Is there a minimum investment for custom work?
Custom pricing varies based on materials, stones, and design complexity. Most projects begin at a minimum investment. A detailed estimate is provided before production begins.

What is the design process like?
The process begins with a consultation, followed by design development and sketches. Once the design is approved and a deposit is received, your piece moves into production with trusted New York jewelers.

 

Production & Craftsmanship

Where is your jewelry made?
All pieces are produced locally in New York City through a trusted network of master jewelers Betsy has worked with throughout her career.

What materials do you work with?
BNL works primarily in solid gold (14K and 18K) and natural gemstones, including diamonds, sapphires, tourmalines, and other fine stones.

Do you offer made-to-order pieces from the collection?
Yes. Many pieces from the collection are made to order. Please refer to individual product pages for details, or reach out with questions.

 

Repairs & Care

Do you offer jewelry repairs?
Yes. Betsy offers professional repair services, from simple fixes to detailed restoration, handled through the same trusted NYC jewelers who produce the collection.

What types of repairs do you offer?
Services include ring resizing, stone tightening or replacement, prong and setting repairs, soldering broken chains, polishing and refinishing, replacing clasps or earring backs, and re-stringing pearls or beaded pieces.

How long do repairs take?
Most repairs are completed within 2–4 weeks, depending on the scope of work.

Can you repair all types of jewelry?
Repairs are assessed on a case-by-case basis. At this time, we are unable to repair costume jewelry or plated pieces.

 

Orders, Shipping & Returns

Do you accept returns?
Because most pieces are made to order, all sales are final. Please reach out with any questions before placing your order — we’re happy to help.

Do you offer resizing after purchase?
Resizing may be possible depending on the design. Please contact us with your order details for guidance.

Do you ship internationally?
International shipping may be available. Please contact us directly for details.

 

Care & Wear

How should I care for my jewelry?
We recommend storing jewelry separately, removing pieces before swimming or strenuous activity, and having stones checked periodically to ensure long-term wearability.

Can I wear my jewelry every day?
Yes — many BNL pieces are designed for everyday wear. That said, fine jewelry should always be treated with care.

All orders are carefully packaged and shipped from New York City. In-stock items typically ship within 3–5 business days, while made-to-order and custom pieces ship once production is complete.

Shipping timelines and tracking information will be provided once your order has shipped. If you have questions about timing or special delivery requests, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Delivery timelines vary depending on the item and shipping destination. Most domestic orders arrive within 2–5 business days after shipment. Signature may be required upon delivery for fine jewelry orders.

If you’re working with a specific timeline — such as a gift or special occasion — we recommend reaching out prior to placing your order so we can best accommodate your needs.

Because most pieces are made to order, all sales are final. We encourage you to review product details carefully and reach out with any questions before purchasing — we’re always happy to help.

If your piece arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, and we’ll make it right.
